SCW Georgia Heritage Championship Match
Ronnie Rage
d.
Adam Stanton
The two remaining competitors for the championship made thier way to the ring and immediately, Stanton was on the offensive. After sidestepping a tie-up with a hard right jab, he took Rage to the canvas and proceeded to lay in the boots. Despite the dirty tactics of choking, gouging, closed fists, and even raking Ronnie's eyes across the ropes - Stanton couldn't seem to put Rage out. Rage continued to come back, repeatedly putting a cold stop to Stanton's offense. Eventually, Stanton hit a splash in the corner and caught Rage with a school-boy for a three-count with his feet on the ropes - but our commissioner was having none of that. Tiny Hughes emerged from backstage and said that this championship would not be awarded under shady circumstances, and the match would continue- with HIM as the referee! Stanton let his temper get the best of him as he argued with Hughes over a percieved slow count, and Rage took advantage, catching him with a cradle DDT to get the three and become the new Georgia Heritage Champion!
-SPECIAL CHALLENGE-
DEMOLITION AX
d.
BIGBANK BARFIELD
Bigbank came out to his usual arrogant fanfare, jawing at the crowd about his greatness - but this time he was cut short as Demolition's music hit and out came Ax himself! The crowd ignited as he circled the ring, and Bank hightailed it to the apron as soon as the legend entered. When he finally did get in, Ax manhandled him around the ring a bit until he decided to escape to the floor again. Eventually, the ref convinced Bank to come in and wrestle, and Ax went straight to work. He kept the ref on his toes as he quizzed him on the legalities of certain holds, finally telling him that "You got too many rules down here!". After a quick review of what he can't do, Bank found an advantage with what looked to be a roll of quarters. This time, Ax slid to the outside, and was followed - a bad decision on Barfield's part as Ax got his hands on a chair and introduced it to Bank's face a couple of times. In the end, Ax took a solid victory with a running headbut that left Bigbank out cold.
SCW Heavyweight Championship Match
Leatherface
d.
SureThing Scotty Anderson
Scotty Anderson's debut match showed that this grappler from Gainesville, Georgia is no pushover. He went straight for the leg of Leatherface, trying to take the monster off his feet. He led the charge and held his own better than most would, but in the end a couple of chokelsams from the unstoppable champion put him on the mat for the three count. Leatherface successfully defended his championship - and leaves us wondering will this win streak - now up to 6 in a row- ever end?
The Cult of Chaos
d.
The Asphault Dragons
This match has been the talk of the message boards since it was announced. The animosity between these two teams definately showed as they tore into each other from the opening bell. FlatLine had control for much of the match, but once Monster Marc Mayhem laid him out with a pair of knucks, that left his protoge Haze open for the attack. Mayhem broke him in half with the Monster's Ball, followed immediately by a Karnage Star Press to pick up the three count for the Cult of Chaos.
Ronnie Rage
d.
Michael Stone
These two men started off with a nice exhibition of chain wrestling, until Stone decided to move to more underhanded tactics. Tearing at Rage's face, choking him on the ropes, and gouging the eyes, Stone showed that he wanted to move forward in this tournament just as bad as Ronnie Rage. However, he also made Rage take a more serious approach to the match, and in the end he proved in no uncertain terms that he had what it takes, as he took the win via submission in just under 10 minutes and moved on to face Stanton in the Main Event.
Adam Stanton
d.
Mike Margera
Tiny Hughes made his way to the ring and announced that due to being held for medical evaluation at Central State Hospital, Jamie Holmes would not be there. He was interrupted by Adam Stanton, who said since his brother skipped town, and DriveBY didn't have the guts to show either, he was left without an opponent - so he'd take Jamie's spot against Margera. The match was close, with Margera's unorthodox antics keeping Stanton off-balance. In the end, Stanton blasted him with a foreign object and then locked his KO'd body in the House of Pain. The ref checked, found him unresponsive, and called for the bell giving Stanton the win.
T.J. "The Brick" Hayes
d.
Morticai
Newcomer Morticai came in strong and looking to make an impact - but The Brick was there to put a forceful stop to it. After trading a few shoulderblocks and a couple of clothelines, The Brick grew weary of toying with his opponent and flattened him with a belly-to-belly for the pinfall.
